At the undergraduate level, the Department of English offers a pre-professional degree for students who seek careers in business, government, and non-profit organizations, who are preparing for graduate or professional schools, who plan to teach, and who are seeking careers that involve writing. Graduates have gone on to success in a wide range of careers, including publishing, government work, graphic design, software development, and international relations. At the graduate level, the Department of English offers the M.A. in English, the M.F.A. in Creative, and the Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Writing.
